Union Minister Tokhan Sahu Holds Key Discussions on Empowering Farmers, Development Initiatives, and Electoral Matters


New Delhi pritesh ajju arya ✍🏻 In a significant move towards empowering farmers and aiding agriculture activities, Tokhan Sahu, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, met with Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development. The two leaders discussed the effective implementation of critical welfare schemes and various prospects for uplifting and empowering farmers in general.

Shri Sahu, who is also the State President of BJP Kisan Morcha is committed to enhancing the lives of farmers and ensuring they receive the full benefits of government schemes. Hailing from a state with rich agriculture heritage, Shri Sahu, being a farmer himself, expressed the challenges faced by the farmers at present in Chhattisgarh. The matter being very close to his heart, he appealed that the farmers get much-needed resources and support from the Ministry. “Providing farmers with much-needed resources and support will strengthen agriculture initiatives and contribute to the state’s socio-economic growth,” Shri Sahu said.

The two leaders deliberated on the effective execution of key initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi at the grassroots level. They expressed their shared commitment to ensuring that these programs reach the farmers of Chhattisgarh, providing them with financial security and supporting their agricultural activities.

In a separate engagement, Shri Manoj Kumar Yadav, the newly elected MLA from Barhi Assembly in Jharkhand visited the Union Minister Shri Tokhan Sahu in his office. During their meeting, Shri Sahu extended his best wishes to Shri Yadav for his victory in the state elections. The discussions also covered key developing issues, with Mr. Yadav sharing insights into the challenging electoral environment in Jharkhand.

Shri Yadav reported that the elections had been affected by adverse conditions, alleging that the ruling party in Jharkhand had colluded with local administrative authorities, leading to an unfair advantage. As a result, he noted, the BJP had been unable to clock win in the state.

Additionally, Shri Kali Charan Singh, Member of Parliament from Chatra Lok Sabha Constituency in Jharkhand, also paid a visit to Shri Sahu’s office. The two leaders had a productive discussion about developmental initiatives for Jharkhand, focusing on positive steps for the state’s growth and progress.
